If Howard doesn't know the character, Howard doesn't draw it. So he was a pass on any Amalgam character. It took several cons (and Mark Waid) to help me wear him down. Guess what? It's fantastic. I'd love to see Howard do an Amalgam book now.

Congrats on the win! I wanted this page soooo badly, but didn't have the funds either. I just got two Magnetic Men featuring Magneto pages from Barry Kitson, so I didn't have the Amalgam original art reserves to make it happen. Glad it went to another superfan.
