It's always a thrill to see Young Captain Adventure pages show up on CAF. Truly some of Sears best work and Giffen was just having fun with the story.
I remember you couldn't see this in the final product because of a word balloon.
Everything I saw of Giantkillers looked AMAZING. Sadly, Ominous decided to push other properties that never performed well and the company fell aside again. Hopefully, some day Bart tell will tell this story.
I suspect you've mistaken The Green Lantern for the Incredible Hulk. It happens.
To clarify: She's not an assassin of vampires, she's an assassin who happens to be a vampire.
Stunning. Richard is one of my favorite modern Lady Death artists.
This cover is what inspired me to commission a "new 52" costumed WW from Paquette. Just gorgeous.
The "5 Years Later" Legion and Legionaires was when I got into the LoSH. Always loved Laurel/Andromeda.
I had to pass on getting a head sketch for HEADS WILL ROLL. Seeing how great these all turned out? Yeah, I regret it.
I'll come across as bitter now, but this is the kind of remarque I was expecting but didn't get from Mark. Looks great, btw. I will say he's one of the best cover artists in the business.
A completely gorgeous piece. I also have a Starfire by Tom with a space background and the amount of detail and work he puts into these is just stunning. Tom's run on New Titans remains a personal favorite.
Oh man. That's one of my favorite Starfire outfits, too. Gorgeous piece. Tom's a legend.
I'm not mad that you have all these great Arthur Adams pieces in your possession. I am, however, insantely jealous.
I desperatly want Marvel to give Ben a SAVAGE LAND ROGUE book since he loves drawing her so much.
Agreed. He's still primarily known as a Magic: the Gathering card artist, but has drawn STAR WARS: DOC APHRA, AVENGERS ARENA and even a 3 issue arc on Spencer's AMAZING SPIDER-MAN.
Amazing to own an entire HUGHES story. I picked up the prelim for this page many moons ago. LOVED Hughes on Gen 13.
Now appearing in HEAVY METAL as of 2021! Took awhile but it happened.
I remember seeing the inital drawing in the Kickstarter updates followed by the final phase with all the extra details (stockings, tattoos, etc.) Really awesome piece!
Stunning (Enchanting?) piece. I'm always amazed by Dan because I think I know how good he is but he always keeps surpassing my expectations.
Well, I would argue your description because it was more a SHAZAM! style joke. Camille goes from flat-chested ordinary girl to fully-endowed knockout. That was always part of the gag. But then, I love Bart's Power Girl.
Great page, regardless.
Gorgeous. I was talking to Kev about Tbolts pages this year and this one was on my list. Couldn't get it done this year but I'm hoping to pick up a Tbolts page next year.
Very nice. His comic art is so hard to find though.
Very nice. I just got my edition and it had an Eve painting.
This is quite possibly the best cover Bart's ever done. So primal and gorgeous. One of my all time favorite covers.
This is a gorgeous piece. Lady Death has really been reborn thanks to Kickstarter.
This is my dream commission. Tried to get it when I finally met Art, but was SOL. Great addition to your collection.
I don't understand all the flak you've been getting. (where was the outrage when Adam Hughes was doing this?) All I'll say is I wish I were in Baltimore to try and get one of these covers. Not that I could afford one...
Saw this piece in the 2011 calendar and my jaw dropped. A great addition to any collection.
I wouldn't disagree with that. I was lucky enough to get a Rogue by Ramos a few years ago. My only regret is that I couldn't afford a color commission.
Saw Jim working on this piece and saw the completed version. Very nice. Jim is one of the best young talents drawing today.
Great piece, Chad. Not sure when this one is going to see print, but if you'd like to know more about Golden, check out www.unknown-comics.com.
GOOD LORD! I think thats my hand in the shot. I was fourth in line and have dirty knuckles. What are the odds?
