Nice catch! I knew this one would get snapped up fast.
I remember seeing this up for sale long ago. At that time I hadn't read Bone Yard, so this piece really kind of freaked me out. I've recently become the proud owner of one of Rich's covers, so I know the feeling you must have had when this first arrived in the mail.
Yeah, that situation really blows. So far I haven't had any art go (permanently) missing, but I did have a sketchy seller try to bone me on a deal for some DC figures. Never buy from someone who doesn't have a good feedback history.
Just bought some art from this guy, hes super skilled! Didn't know he did commissions as well. Thats something I should look into.
Because back then bidders weren't anonymous. Anyone could see your account name. It was probably because of problems just like this that now everyone is displayed as something like J***5.
Question: How does one bring Deadman back to life? Or is that something we're not supposed to ask...
Its always nice to see these two powerful hotties. Such competition for such a flawed guy.
Also notice the shadows on the wall. Are they just tree branches from outside cast by the moon, or are they claws reaching out to box in the survivor?
I love it! Wonder Woman in battle armor is a commission I have been wanting for a little while, but I need to find the right artist.
Great catch! I'm a big fan of this guy's work. If your ever thinking of selling, I'm in the market for buying.
Damn! This was the piece that I swore up and down that I was going to win, then went out of town the day the auction ended and forgot to bid. I was able to get one of the follow up pieces, but this is one I still want to lay my hands on one of these days.
Wonderful! I'm a huge fan of Fred's work. If your ever in the market for selling any of his pieces, don't even hesitate to drop me a line!
I had the same problem. The first time I ever bought something from him it never showed up. About a 1 1/2 months later I finally got a refund from him, he said it must have been lost in the mail. Later on I decided to take a risk and buy something else of his. That took forever to be shipped, and he told me that he included some free art to make up for me having to wait for so long. When I finally did get it, not only did I get the art that I had paid for, along with some of his other pieces, but also the piece that I had originally bought from him the first time!
Never really thought that Shatterstar would be sharing cover space with other big names.
Doesn't matter how anyone else draws her or in what costume; this is MY Supergirl!
When I think of Mike's work, I think of the ladies, but this is the only way I'll see Supes and Bats.
My first encounter with this guys work was way back in middle school when my friend brought some Witchblade cards to school. I've loved his work ever since, but only became a true fan after Superman/Batman: Supergirl came out. I really wished I could have met the guy, especially after hearing about how nice he was in person from all the people writing their memories of him.
Thanks, glad you liked it! I've been meaning to continue commissions for Twisted Fairy Tales, but I've been needing a new car, so art kind of has to take a seat on the back burner for a while.
Thanks for the comment. Its a real treat to hear back from the original artist.
And I paid out the nose for it too! It was worth it though.
Naughty bubbles! We all wish we were the bubbles! And yes, being dominated it tons of fun!
No fair! I really love Pete's Alice! Check out the two that I have.
Usually when I see a Zatanna piece I either say SEXY, or boring (because there are just so many out there that don't leave an impression). However, this is the first one I can honostly say is super cute!
Fred is my favorite commission artist. I remember bidding on this peice but getting shot down. Lucky dog! I have some of Freds work that I have either won or tried to win up on my page. Check it out!
Magic. It moves wherever it needs to in order to block the viewer's eye.
Seconded! Remindeds me of another pole dancing Zatanna I saw on this site, sans fishnets, panties, or, well, anything below the belt besides shoes.
OOPS!!! Wardrobe malfunction! The FCC will have a field day with this one! Great piece!
If only prints were being sold I would be a happy man!!!
