Great mood piece. Would love to see it colored.
That's really neat - A tight mini-sketch and story all in one. Cool!
Wow. Fantastic. Must find out what this story is about.
Your work on this one and the Magus miniseries is so much fun to study. Thanks for sharing.
This was such a fun story. Warner's work was definitive. He and his creative team planted so many seeds for the character. It's strange how badly the character suffered subsequently.
GRAIL. Warner did such wonderful work with this character. It was definitive. How could subsequent miniseries and even movies bomb so badly, given such great source material?!
I loved it too. Wish DC would do more standalone stories with the classic characters. What's happening now is a travesty.
Brilliant art and storytelling, very prescient re: the emerging "Green" cult. Thanks for sharing a memorable page.
Is the signature really smack in the middle like this photo suggests, or is that just sort of copyright protection?
Neat page from a memorable book. Agree 100% with your comments. It would be fantastic to see the original creative minds restore the spark to Aliens and Predator. In the meantime, you have a piece of the real deal!
Ross gets it. What more is there to say? Absolutely mind-bendingly gorgeous. LOVE IT. THANK YOU MR. ROSS!
I prefer this classic look - less clownlike than the cinematic version. Wonder how it would look with simpler geometry (e.g., straighter brow ridges and a wedge tapering at the tip of the nose). Less form-fitting = better disguise? Nice piece, and timely!
Predator: Concrete Jungle by Dark Horse was a great miniseries. Some good bits were used in the 2nd movie. Chris Warner set the standard for comic preds. Wish he'd come back to the drawing board.
Wow. This speaks volumes about Bermejo's process. He really THINKS in terms of light and shadow. Great sketch!
WOW. This one really stands in a class all its own. WOW.
Wow. That is a real catch, loaded with visual energy. Breitweiser does it again. Thanks for sharing.
A web thong? A crab trap? Spider-pubes? Is MJ about to do something she might regret in the morning? The mind races with unanswered questions...
Easily the best jam I've ever seen, but this Buscema sketch alone is pure gold IMO. Congratulations on a singularly unique monument to great names in comic art.
