WOW! What a GREAT piece of art! I can feel Doom's rage! And Buscema at his best.
Hey there,
I just read your account of buying the comic off the rack and then as an adiult buying your favorte page, I too have that same event. I bought Kull #11 off the rack as a kid. LOVED the Ploog art in the issue! Today I am the proud protector of a page from that issue. It's been in my collection for over 20 years. It did break my bank at the time but each time I look at that page I am so glad I lived on ramen for a few months. :-)
I had no idea that there were uncrediteed artists on this series, thanks!
The best part about these three panels? These are super affordable right now. Original published GK art...at these prices is prpetty sweet. Sure, they are not super pieces like most published comic art pages but still...original art.
Thanks man! Yeah, agreed, knowing an items provenance is pretty important. If I could have afforded something with his more traditional signature I would have gotten one of those. Who knows, maybe I'll strike it rich one day then I can buy one...OR..maybe buy a peice of original art! LOL! BTW, I bought this for about $200, free shipping. So they are out there.
WOW! THAT is pretty amazing!
I'm curious, how did the artist finsh the sculpture of the tourso?
DAMN....! What a GREAT piece of art!!! The perspective and detail, all the while telling the story. Congratulations. :-)

I'm kinda speechless… after all these years who would have thought that the art was still even "around"? GREAT… no, AMAZING score! Thanks for sharing!
There are SO many great pages in this issue of Kull. Ploog really gets very little credit for his work in this issue, which is a shame as it is some of his best comic book work ever! And this page? What a great page! If you EVER want to sell this page it would go to a good home… http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=555416 Hint.. hint… hint…. :-) BTW, you know who owns the original cover for Kull #11 don't you?
In my humble opinion, the best O'Barr image ever. Brilliant addition to your collection!
Eyvind was an artist that had an amazing vision. I always thought that one of Walt's amazing skills was assigning correct artists to correct features. This set up is absolutely stunning! I am stunned to see this original Eyvind. Your collect continues to amaze me (I don't have time to post a comment to each of your images but know I am checking them all out!) Thanks for sharing!!!
