I still remember getting this comic at a birthday party when I was eight years old. Every place setting at the card tables set up for us to have cake and ice cream had a comic book and this was the book where I sat down. Great memory - great cover.
You are a lucky collector! That 1st Issue Special all those years ago made a permanent impression on me. I'd love to have a Simonson Dr. Fate!
I knew it was you I was bidding against - great piece!
Wow, I've always wanted a good Silver Age Adventure Legion page - one of the few things left on my want list that I'll probably never find. This is great!
so jealous, I've always wanted a Walt Simonson Dr. Fate - remember that 1st Issue Special well from my youth
One of the best covers in the series. Brings back my childhood. Jealous.
Thanks for letting me know. I have corrected the description. I think it's just a great, great piece. Kudos sir!
Love everything from this book. I still picture these spashes in my head. I've always wanted the Batman splash but am still searching. Good for you in getting this. Love it. And of course as in the previous comment, should you ever decide to sell...

Remember buying and reading this as a kid. I had gotten the Doc Savage Giant Size that reprinted the first two issues of the comic, loved it, and then found the magazine. This is just fantastic. I'm envious.
Nice! Best content I've seen on one of these. Wish it were mine.
Why doesn't someone make a nice high quality litho of this, contact Mr. Anderson, and create a signed and numbered limited edition litho for those of us not lucky enough to have the original? This and Mystery In Space 90 are my two all time favorite DC silver age covers
Fantastic! I still remember reading this book and being so sad that it was the last issue - a great way to end the run. Beautiful
THE Page from this book. I like mine but THIS IS IT!
It's amazing how I can't remember something from a week ago but I can remember this story from my childhood vividly. It was so well done - seemed sad and romantic to an adolescent boy rather than kinda creepy as I think it would if I first read it now. In any case, a great page - frankly THE PAGE I remember from this story still to this day. I'm jealous.
