Hmmmm, the artist signature (about mid left at the figure's thigh) doesn't look like Fabian's, not even his cursive signature. I don't think this is a Fabian.
This was the dust jacket art for Alan Dean Foster's "Midworld" published by The Science Fiction Bookclub.
I just pulled out my copy of the Doubleday FMoM and found the printed version. OMG, there is no comparison! I used to study all the Doubleday illos to learn Frazetta's posing, lighting, etc This original is stunning!!
