This Captain Marvel piece is one of a series I'm working on in pen and ink, and monochromatic tones. besides I miss the old guy. it was a lot of fun creating, and it and the others were used as an in-class exercise for my students. Pat Broderick
This is a really fine piece of work you’ve got here Ari. I love seeing artist stretch their traditional skills and bring these same visions to our favorite characters. Pat Broderick
Commander Rann and crew. When I started this it felt just like old times. These were characters that I loved and a story concept which was always innovative. I’ve worked on this title for two companies, Marvel and Devils Due; But Marvel had the right handle on these characters and stories. These are little beings in our world. They were never better than when they were fighting in a Mac Donald’s. Or battling a kid, his lawn mower, and his dog. Pat broderick
The Black Widow secret agent from the 60’s, 70’s and today. As a supporting character she bounced between Iron Man and Daredevil, An incredibly gorgeous woman that was as deadly as beautiful....Pat Broderick
I’m always happy to return to the Dark Knight, and this piece is no exception. Two Face.. What can you say about him except interesting. A character compulsively driven to clean up Gotham until that one tragic turn of events pushed his mind over the edge. This is the Batman from the 70’s. No stylized cape and the “spotlight” circle around the bat emblem on his chest. I’ve always been in love with urban settings. The mixture of old and new, and atmosphere everywhere. Pat Broderick
if only i could remember to use spell check Pat. thanks for the work Ari. I really loved this piece and it couldn't have a better home
