He sure was a great guy. I got to be friends with Steve after interviewing him for Back Issue magazine and he and I kept in regular contact. I bought art from him when he'd decide to sell and I also helped his widow get money owed to Steve by Marvel after he'd passed away. Such a great guy and an amazing artist gone too soon.

Amazing piece of Star Wars art! Wow! I love this one. I have the Emperor's Royal Guard pinup from that same issue and Rick Bryant did such a great job on all of the pinups. Congrats on owning that amazing piece of art!

I've owned it, probably 15 years or more, and paid $6,000 for it when I bought it (I can't remember the guy's name, but he was, briefly, an agent of Heritage and he collected rap posters and rap memorabilia), and everyone called me crazy for paying so much. I'd wanted a page from this issue since the day I started collecting original art and thought I'd never find one. I sold off a lot of rare golden age comics to be able to afford it and I think I asked for time payments of six months and I paid it off in less than a month. Starlin fully penciled the splash and Alcala inked it, but Starlin laid out the rest of the book and Alcala did almost full pencils and inks the rest of the issue. Some of the pages look like Starlin did more than just layouts on many pages, but you can see his panel layouts and style on every page. It truly is a masterpiece of a fill-in issue and I am shocked that some writer hasn't mined this issue to use Billy in a shocking return story.
In my opinion, this is the all-time best Incredible Hulk comic. I own the splash page from this book (which is one of the pages Starlin actually fully penciled and didn't just lay out), but the page you own is the one that scared me the most. Congrats on a getting a great page!

I loved Infantino's and Oksner's Supergirl. Infantino seemed to really care when he was drawing this series (despite him having told me he was merely doing it for the money) and Oksner really made his pencils great. Such a great page. Congratulations on getting it!

I remember it well from my hardcore comic collecting days of living in Pikeville, Ky., and buying the major Marvel event comics from the shop around the corner from where I worked. I remember this cover because it kicked off the Onslaught event. Congrats on getting it!

Amazing page and such a key in one of the greatest comics. I remember when legendary Miracleman collector Ricky Wong had this page and the sequence of the next two or three pages with MM holding his body. I tried my best to get this from Ricky way back in 2001, but he wouldn't give them up at that time. This is an awesome pickup. Congratulations!
I used to own this and it is a gorgeous DPS. I'm not sure if you were told this when you got it, but the panel with the JLA has two different inkers. Nick Cardy inked Black Canary and Aquaman, while Murphy Anderson inked the others.

Fantastic page from a really fun series! I have a couple pages from the first issue and I love them. DeCarlo was, in my opinion, at his peak in the 1980s and his Kool-Aid Man comic art is some of my favorite. Congrats!
I love Hannigan's 1980s cover designs. During that period, he was on par with Carmine Infantino's 1960s designs. This is a great cover shot from a daring perspective that really pops.
