Another fantastic piece by the Great Mario Caria! I was fascinated by his art when I was a kid and 40 years later, I am still fascinated! A real talented artist he was. A great addition to your fabulous collection, Roy... congratulations!

Of course, my friend, I discovered it but I won't reveal where it is hidden; just let the viewers find it by themselves ! But as for me, I think that the signature is more visible on the B&W picture than the colored one...

WOW... this one looks great in B&W ! But why the title was changed??? As you say, the title correction is really TERRIBLE... it is a pity to have made a very bad lettering on this marvelous piece of art !

WOW! It's the first time that I see an original artwork from this series, "Le Fant�me du Bengale". This is #20, issued in 1950 (you can see the color cover here: http://picasaweb.google.com/kitwalker19/FranceLeFantomeDuBengale#5467510823507098578 ). Congrats, a very nice piece! I love to see the Phantom in this pose on Hero... I grew up with the red Phantom outfit version then for me, this one is special; it reminds me my childhood. Many thanks Romano for these incredible artworks; they are real gems.

These classic stories were published in France under the titles "L'�le des femmes corsaires / Les femmes corsaires" and were in " Sp�cial le Fant�me #93 - #94". But at this moment, "Les �ditions des Remparts", from #82 until the last number of that series (#99), had changed the size of the books (all with ugly similar covers-please, see my "French Collection #2) and so, they were never published with these magnificent covers from Mr. Caria. It's a pity because there's a lot of italian covers that were never issued in France...
