Scudiero Maurizio Collection - A project for a future museum of international comic art in Italy - NO MORE
Years ago introducing my galleries I wrote: "As you may understand by the title the final goal is to find a site for a possible museum of international comics where to display my collection" At the end... due the lack of interest of the italian institutions this project has been cancelled. Moreover... I always been a lover of comic-strip art of the Thirties, and my collection of originals started from there. But in recent years I have seen that much part of the interest (also commercial) is on Super-heroes comic book art with evaluation that truly I do not understand. In the same time, masterpieces of the great masters of comics are often under-evaluated. This is a world where I do belong no more... So I will remove all art that now I'm selling on Heritage or directly to collectors. Maurizio Scudiero, Italy
