I got it then and am just posting it now. I am notoriously slow when it comes to posting artwork
Thank you; I just happened to find this gem in some pages mixed with some Wildcats V3.0 Dustin/Rich pages.
He was a very talented artist in his own ark. Whomever he inked he brought a lot of vibrancy to the art. You can still see Scott's unique style but he adds another layer to it.
I just went with what was told to me by the original seller. I knew it was from a swimsuit issue but that was about it.
It's so unfortunate that a talent like Scott was lost so early in his life. The things that he could have accomplished would have been staggering.
same here; the roads are covered in black ice. Since we don't salt everything has ground to a halt. Makes having a 4x4 truck nice for at least a few days out of the year.
Well, I'm happy you did. Just rest assured it's in a very safe home in Texas.
Thank you Ryan,
I think Dustin captured the true essence of what Jim Lee was trying to capture when he created Grifter in the first place. He isn't really a superhero, or a villain nor mercenary. He is truly outside in the gray area ahead of society; a Grifter conning his way through life with an amoral attitude. that fits his outlook just fine. The whole Wildcats V3.0 shows just how far he is willing to sell Edwin Dolby a "bill of goods" to create the new Grifter when he is in rehab. I whole series was years ahead of its times and I am just fortunate to have been in the right place at the right time to get so much of the artwork.
I would love to own that, what a perfect piece you have of Wildcats V3,0 history; just beautiful!
The plastic wrap is still on it hence the shine and wrinkle. I haven't had time to take it to the framers yet.
Yes it is a beautiful page; it's one of my favorite Dustin pages of all time.
I think the nicest one you have came from me all those years ago Stu, the #1 Page 1. I bought them all at one time but I am just now getting around to scanning them.
Very nice and if I ever decide to let go of my Scott Clark Coda swimsuit piece you will be on the list.
One of my favorite Nexus covers. Nexus is still one of my favorite comics ever published.
Shelby Robertson is the artist
Thank you very much , I think Butch Guice is one of the most expressive artists working in the medium today.
I am an admirer of the female form; plus when the art is by Scott Clark it is a win win situation for me.
