As silly as this book was/is, it was one of my favorites as a kid. So this cover absolutely makes me smile! What a great piece! Congrats on having it as part of your wonderful collection!!!
Thanks Paul! And yes, they're called "The Amazing Spider-Man: The Ulimate Newspaper Comic Collection"... they come in several volumes (broken down by every few years). When I bought my first Spdey strip (the Kingpin one by Romita) I used the ultimate collection to find it so I knew what I was looking to buy! These are available at Amazon among other places... you can even buy digital versions!
I LOVED that "new FF" storyline... especially the AA art! Seeing this piece, and the accompanying story, just brings all that back... and more! It's a remarkable piece in a remarkable collection! Congrats!!

That is a beautiful cover! I was suprised when you said it was "oversized" since it seems like a lot of treasury art is actually reduced in size for some reason. So glad this is big - it deserves to be!!!!

I'll always love Andru's Spidey, but next to that I have great affection for his incredible (and underrated) Flash work.. and this cover is a fantastic example of that! Great part of an amazing collection!

I think you have wonderful collection, Michael! I think, honestly, if you got rid of every single page you had BUT this one? I'd STILL say you had a wonderful collection because this one has EVERYTHING you want all in one piece. This has always been my favorite Spidey-Torch "battle" and you've got a great page of it. An absolute page to be cherished and the very definition of what a "grail" is!
Buscema's Surfer with the blackness of space behind him... not much more iconic than that. Another wonderful piece in your collection!!!

I always marvel at the time and energy it takes to get one of these done... how many times you have to give up control of something with art on it you already cherish! It's really hard to image. But when it comes out like this I understand why people do it! Hope you enjoy looking at it on your wall every day!!!!
A really nice composition. Really pleasing, you know? Sometimes even with great art on blanks you get rushed jobs and they can feel "off" a bit but this just feels perfect. Congrats!!!
