Wonderful page indeed! Every single panel is worth the admission fee! There will come a time when collectors will kick and kick and kick themselves for not buying '70s Kirby artwork when it was still cheap. Runs like '2001' and 'Captain Victory' are among his very best work ever! Viva il re!

Buscema was such an incredible genius! IMO, his pencil and ink sketches are still better than most of his finished pages (which were often messed up by the inkers).

Wow! Very distinctive and unusual style! I clearly prefer such a no-name to a celebrity cultivating a boring so-so style (I'd love to list a couple of names, but I don't need angry e-mails or letter bombs :-).

Wonderful Jack Kent art, Rob! Funny, intelligent, well drawn! Want to fall into the cracks of comic strip history? Want to be excluded from skyrocketing prices for original artwork? Draw funny comics! Bud Blake, Paul Murry, even celebrities like Walt Kelly, George McManus and Sergio Aragones - imagine they had drawn superhero or detective comics!! Even the tiniest sketch would be worth more than a complete strip/page is worth today. There is no justice. Well, good for the connoisseurs, collecting artwork for the artistic quality, not for the big names and the mainstream taste...
Great to see that this wonderful piece wound up in very good hands! It's a shame that most collectors are not at all interested in the ephemera connected with their heroes, like photos, letters, and even preliminary drawings. Keep them coming, Rob!

If you consider that it costs less than 1% of even the worst Peanuts Sunday, something is going very very wrong. Ils sont fous, les collectionneurs.
