Yeah, Tatiana at TDArt thought that I would enjoy this page. I'm so glad she brought it my attention. It is definitely worth it.
Hey Kavi, I agree. This was definitely one of the better laid out pages in the series.
Yeah, Ramona went all in on this one. I figured the barcode and Trade dress were either paste ups or printed, but they appear to be drawn on the board. I was shocked. Plus, it's an oversize board.
I actually submitted an idea for a comic story that would feature the Federation Colonial Marshal Service. It went nowhere, but it lurks in the back of my mind.
Thanks Commander, it was one of those that as soon as I saw Wayne had it, it had to be mine, lol.
This is a great piece. Wayne does seem to compliment Tom's pencils. Shadowpact was a title that should have served as a "street-level" mystic book for the DCU, while Justice League Dark dealt with the "world-ending" stuff.
I have another page or two from Shadowpact that are in another portfolio that I have to get scanned.
The one thing that Crisis really screwed was the DC Golden Age and Bronze Age. Infinity Inc. could have been the Earth 2 equivalent to the Titans and taken over the tradition of Annual x-overs.
Awesome piece! Manix's style really lends itself to the potential absurdity of Joker stories.
The Red Panzer seems to have a pretty good sneer going about this situation. Great cover! Enjoyed this period of Wonder Woman.
Hey Marcus! I agree. I am happy that they included the character in the Justice League Incarnate book, but they write him as just another Superman pastiche almost, with the exception of the whole "cartoon physics" thing. WB has a kid level entertainment goldmine, yet they seemingly continue to squander it.
Oh yeah!! I definitely have a well-known Pre-Crisis Huntress.....problem. LOL
Hey Anthony, it is a great piece and Francheso is a great guy. I am hoping that he continues to come to the Comicon. This piece is moving to the top of my framing pile, except I am running out of wall space!!
As I said on Jerry's Facebook post, this has got to be one of the sweetest commissions I have ever seen. This is truly the Holy Grail of DC Earth-2/JSA art.
As a dyed in the wool Huntress fan, all I can say is Wow! That is spectacular.
