Aesthetic : Countless hours must have been spent on that page by master Perez both drawing and inking. The full figure Batman is perfect and the work on the light is tremendous but it's the details that give that piece so much impact : beautifully textured clouds, bat shadow on the moon and of course the insanelly detailed buildings in the background. If it was a cover, it would be one of the best Batman covers ever. Originality : only a few Perez pieces come to my mind with a similar buildings effect but none are so well detailed. The light on Batman is also perfect, common for an Alex Ross but unique for Peez. Historic value : As it's not published, that piece should not have any historic value, but it's simply one of Perez best drawings ever; to me and to all who have seen it as the incredible number of comments on that piece shows. RATING : 9/10.
