Utterly fantastic . . . I am speechless.

So right! I absolutely love this sequence. Just think about what a strip this would have made in the newspapers. How could any SANE art editor turn it down?? The art world is fundamentally irrational. By the way I found a picture of the lost final panel to this series and I'll be posting it on my FF site. Congrats Rob! Fabulous job. DAVE

Thanks...but listen, several guys have written me off line to discuss doing this to other paintings...this original had ONE thin coat of paint on the figures...I was looking in bright light and I could even see the figures faintly...other Frazetta pieces like the National Lampoon cover and a few others are VERY overpainted...it would be much more difficult, and risky, to attempt to remove several layers of paint. This was a calculated risk but I felt it would work since it was minimal.

This really turned out superbly! A great rescue effort. Thank God at least one of these has been brought back to life. Frank wanted to add a sexy girl to the swamp instead of the guys. He just never got around to it. I loved the oil just as printed...great action, great menace, wondrous tints, and glorious textures abounding. I couldn't be happier. Good work, Rob. Art history owes you a big "thank you"! DAVE

This is a sensational sketch. I have always had the highest regard for it. There is a wonderful surging rhythm to the design. And the little spot of thinned ink on the hair really adds vitality to the image. Frazetta breathed his unique life in to the drawing. Congratulations!

A flawless integration of artistic elements and some of the greatest color-blending Frank ever did on a rough. The original just sparkles with quality. The image on the computer monitor doesn't do justice to the subtle nuances of this piece. I enjoyed this original for many years. It was time to give it to a new home where it could live with other impressive originals. A gem!

Absolutely sensational cover! The blue pencil shading on the cover gives it an extra dimension. The softness of the girl's face is perfectly counterpointed by the heroic visage of Buck Rogers. Also, the crosshatching is simply flawless in its execution. Superb acquisition. Congratulations!
