That's true Roy. Its not only lifelike, it has a certain lyricism that is also gone from our lives.
Purpose for this gallery is to find out if these beautiful paintings survived and if yes, who were the artists and who have them.
No idea. Equally important question is if this painting survived. If yes, who has it and why has it not surfaced yet.
Thanks Christophe. There are hundreds of original artwork that survived because of people like Charles Martignette. There are still so many cover art illustrations which are yet to be discovered.
