the Facebook teaser was actually from a different Goblin Queen piece...
I actually drew it AS a commission, I didn't commission it myself. Unless your "Congrats" is like "congrats on drawing something cool"…?
thanks Darby- check out the work of William Morris. The background is based on his textile designs from the early 1900s, so same era as Mucha, but really more Arts & Crafts than Art Nouveau!
Beyond Beautiful. This one small piece is a perfect example of Bill at his best!
thanks so much! I think this is my first time really having a serious go on Adam's pencils. Its was pretty cool.
Congratulations on the big win- and thanks for helping support St. Jude's Children's Hospital!
Kirk let me know if you'd ever like to commission one. I'd be more than happy to customize it to whatever your kids like best!
wow! Really gorgeous!
I didn't get to see the second part at the show- that turned out great!
wow- I forgot all about this piece! How cool of you to post it after all this time...!
thanks! I'm hoping the artists that get to draw in this book feel the same way! Sherlock! Dr. Who! Downton Abbey! Top Gear! AbFab! Upstairs Downstairs, Are You Being Served, Fawlty Towers... so many years of great TV to draw on!
okay; you totally win on this one. Here's the deal, according to Adam. He penciled and inked everything on these pages EXCPET the boy and his wagon. Those were done by Bill Willingham. You have a REALLY unique piece of art here!
Such a great piece. And I do believe Adam inked it; this was pre- my involvement in art sales, but I think by this point he was inking all his own work. If not? Whoever it is has done an excellent job!
fun fact: I believe this is the only Catwoman cover that Adam did that had any cats on it! Congratulations on it!
