It's always interesting to see what Dave comes up with when he does Cerebus as another character. By the way -- *SPLUTTER, SPLUTTER* -- I'm not sure if that really is Gerhard's last name or not, but regardless, TAKE IT DOWN! If it really is his name, don't ruin a state secret! Don't ruin the mystery! I'm shocked, shocked! (line stolen from Claude Rains in "Casablanca") --Claude Flowers
Wow, this *IS* a rarity! When was this done? I take it Dave was in a pretty good mood when he drew this. Did he have any interesting W.W. or D.C. Comics anecdotes to share when he did this? --Claude Flowers
Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing! It's interesting to see the evolution of Cerebus' look over the years. One way to veryify the authenticity and a rough date of origin of the quick head sketches Dave did: If he lightly sketched out a circle before placing hte facial features, then it dates back from no to about the early 1990s (I saw him do this when he was in seattle in 1992). If the face is more elongatged, then it's from the '70s or '80s. FYI, there's a lot of exclusive artwork posted at Cerebusfangirl.com. --Claude Flowers
