Great sketch! The Comic Action in 1999 was my first ever comic con and Tim Sale was the first person I got a sketch from. I did not have a sketchbook, bought my sketchbook a day later, and got a Batman on a sheet of paper. I started visiting conventions in the early 90s. Erlangen, Essen and Contern were my favourite. I remember, that what you got from Tim depended on what you asked for. If you said "Superman" he only drew a stylized face. So I asked for a flying Superman and got this. |
