I believe this is from the first issue of LUBA, which came out a couple of years after the Love and Rockets magazine ended. It's collected in the LUBA IN AMERICA paperback.
Correction: The hammer-wielding woman standing next to Sheriff Chelo is LUBA, not Maricela.
I see this sketch is dated 1990. That's interesting because Palomar didn't appear in Love and Rockets at all between issues 26 (1988) and 37 (1992). So this might be the first illustration of Khamo and Casimira after their accidents, as well as the first illustration of Socorro, Joselito and Conchita.
I doubt there will be any novels from Luba; but I heard that one of Beto's forthcoming "Fritz movie" graphic novels will be MARIA M, the Pipo-produced, Doralis-written chronicle of Maria's "Poison River" days with Peter Rio (before she married Hector Martinez) that caused the estrangement between Luba and her sisters.

Correction: It's actually page 92 of POISON RIVER, chronicling Luba's life before she moved to Palomar. POISON RIVER is currently in print as part of the omnibus BEYOND PALOMAR.
