Absolutely stunning! Congrats!
I've said it before, and I'll say it again - you can never, ever go wrong with a piece from J.H. Williams III. A hearty congrats on your new acquisition! Sounds like it's found a very good home. :-)
I did indeed! 😬 Me too. Talk about extra stupid lucky...! I so missed seeing you and the rest of the crew this year at Heroes.
You're welcome to visit her any time, Foggy.
Excellent! We will have to catch up in that case. Oh, I almost always find something of interest there, even if it’s not in the auction. :D I just adore that con.
Thanks, Anthony!! I know, right? Isn’t she a stunner? Mercy but I am still totally psyched over this one (maybe even more so than my Rafael auction win at Heroes and that is saying A LOT.) Speaking of which, will I see you there?
Aw, thanks so much! I’m very glad to meet you, especially since you have quite the epic pieces yourself and we are now kind of neighbors, right? ;-) Yeah, these are just gorgeous pages and even better in person.
Thanks, Foggy! You know how much I love our Kate.
Vielen Dank, Dietmar! Nice to meet you, by the way. You have a superb collection.
Thank you! I still can’t believe I own it...!
Many thanks, Daryl! Yeah, Kate has always been near and dear to my heart but this page especially so. It also showed up at an oddly appropriate time. The parallel is not lost on me. I consider it a great omen.
Splendid DPS - this is easily my fave run of Batwoman too. Congrats!
I was so very sorry to hear of his passing. It's a real shame. I'm honored to have a beautiful Wonder Woman piece by Ollie in my collection, especially now. This one is just lovely. Thanks for the share.
Great pickup! You can never, ever go wrong with Jim Williams on Batwoman. Congrats!
Thanks, Foggy. How goes your art sale/new home search?
Thanks, Mike! I spotted this beauty back in June at Heroes Con and fell in love with it. I can hardly believe it's finally mine.
Thanks, Duke! I am working with Karl Story to have this piece inked too. He loved the pencils so much he'll be doing the inks over a blueline copy instead of the original. Can't wait to see it.
Thanks, Fred! I feel most fortunate as Liam was absolutely mobbed at the con, as was all of #teamdiana. It was well worth the trip to the other coast though.
Nice pick up! This also happens to be one of my favorite Batwoman covers by Rafael and I was fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time when it was available a few years back. Haven't seen a recreation of it yet and MC did it justice.
Thanks so much, Anthony! Psyched is probably an understatement. I totally adore this piece.
Hi Brett - I'm definitely interested and have sent you an email. Thanks so much for letting me know.
Thanks! Richard's great to work with. I recommend him highly for commissions.
Great page! I'm sorry we didn't get to see Juanjo and Roger on more issues. Their style really suited the book.
Cool page! I always love seeing the interaction between Kate and her dad. It's great to finally see you here on CAF. Welcome aboard, cadet! ;)
Wow - congrats! What an absolutely magnificent piece - aren't they all, though? - and such a touching story to boot. Aype was taken far, far too soon. Pieces like this are bittersweet for me: while I'm very happy that I was able to enjoy his unique artistic vision, I'm also sad that there won't be any more new art. It makes his existing work all the more precious for it.

Oh, Damon, this one is a STUNNER. Congrats! I'm just sorry she was manhandled like that. We know Kate herself would never put up with such nonsense. :D And Thony has just gone up to the top of my commission want list.
What a great Christmas present! This is maybe the only thing that could make this piece even more lovely. You'll be even happier in the long run that you've had it properly framed to protect it from UV light, etc. By the way, a 'passe-partout' refers to the mat; that is, the bevel cut mat itself. (I worked in custom framing for a number of years so I became very familiar with the term.)
Aha! I knew you had to have another piece in the pipeline. Nice pickup. Love his take on Kate.
You lucky guy! I had to wait month to month to read the individual issues, which was quite torturous given some of the serious cliffhangers. The WW story is one of my favorites too. They're a great team up. Alice is a most interesting character. I was fortunate enough to have a chance to pick J3's brain about her last year at a con in NJ. He and Haden had an entire plot scripted out with her which, sad to say, will never come to fruition what with the falling out between the creative team and DC. It's a shame.
Ha! Oh, you know it! He totally took these pages to soaring artistic heights, so much so that I still find myself comparing every other rendition of Batwoman to his. I fell madly head over heels in love with the character and comics in general all over again as a result.
Thanks, Ben! You can never, ever go wrong with a J3 page.
Aw, thanks! I feel most fortunate to have it. I mean, really: how many Kate/Renee smooch pages are there? We have to represent! :)
