original comic art catalogs and stolen art
This art collection, and some other items, were stolen from a warehouse in Vancouver, Canada in 2005. Most were purchased from Mitch of Graphic Collectibles, maybe the best comic art dealer. I had left Canada for overseas, and my property was to be shipped a year later. When I discovered the theft (not immediately reported by the warehouse company) it was a nightmare trying to get answers and action from overseas. The resolution was not satisfactory. It is suspected the thief worked in collusion with the warehouse manager. I see (now) that some of the art has been posted to CFA, all in 2010 (the thief probably thought it was 'safe' at that point). Now a return to Canada is in the works and I'd like to see the thieves brought to justice (yes, I'm a comic person). Please message if you can help!
