I loved illustration from as far back as I can remember. It was the colour art to be found in the British comics and children’s magazines of the 1950s and 1960s that really pressed my buttons. Through my elder brother I grew up with Frank Hampson’s Dan Dare and in the later 1950s I was captivate by the colour work of the extraordinary artist that was Ron Embleton. And so is continued, so many artists, some many images absorbed on my journey to become a professional illustrator myself in the 1970s. At this early stage I am only able to put up a small number of images with brief details and many will have ‘Price on Application’ (POA) as a caption. I am happy to provide more details and scans to anyone who is interested in discussing purchasing any of the work. I intend to add many more pieces and give more detailed info on the site as time allows.
