Description

I'm a fan of Kuwata, a journeyman mangaka perhaps best known in the west for the Batman manga series of 1966-67. Otherwise he's known mainly for his work on sci-fi/superhero characters like 8-Man and Ultraseven, but here's a stylish mystery cover that might suggest a very contemporaneous Steranko influence.

I'm a huge fan of Kuwata as well. He's definitely under appreciated. This is a beautiful example of his talent. Congrats on adding it to your amazing collection!

The blank eyes of the sleepwalking girl combined with the dark red and black background makes me instantly want to pick it up and read the book ...
Great catch, good choice ! I love Kuwata and especially his use of color

The heavy use of black, the way he uses red to create the mysterious background figure and the cool ghost in the foreground adds up to a very striking cover.
