Description

Rare original printed proof page for The Little King, the all-time classic Sunday newspaper strip by the legendary Otto Soglow. This is a proof for the May 8, 1949 (5/8/49) episode. This is a black and white proof of the complete strip page, featuring beautiful artwork by Soglow. The proof measures approximately 11 3/8" by 16 1/2", on smooth coated stock (not newsprint paper), and is blank on the reverse side. It is in very good condition, particularly considering its age (more than 70 years old!), with minor general handling wear and edgewear. Please note that this is NOT a mass-produced print, lithograph, or poster reproduction. This is a very cool and rare comic collectible that you will hardly ever get a chance to see (but please note that this item is printed, it is not the hand-drawn artwork). And what makes this even more special is that this is a truly outstanding example, featuring the trademark humor that made this strip a classic!
