Description

Nice half-splash end page with a daunting Stranger. Purchased from the late, great Jim Mooney in one of his San Diego Comic Con appearances back in the late 1990s. He used to bring stacks of original art to the SDCC back in the day, and it was incredible to see all of the great pencillers that he inked back in the day. For those Batroc fans out there, this is also a nice page featuring Sal's first rendering of him in this issue.

Not Mooney's best inking job but a very cool page. Love that last panel with The Stranger.

CLASSIC!!! This one really takes me back- I remember reading this comic for the first time like it was just yesterday and being amazed at the artwork from the Buscema/Mooney combo!

Stunning - what a way to end an issue. The pairing of Sal and Jim was hard to beat, and this is another brilliant example of how well they combined. That lettering of 'Stranger' really does remind me of the Doctor Strange logo, but the electrifying, distorted speech balloon is so effective for this cliff-hanger ending.
