Description

I had arranged this commission months ago. I had come across a Gorgeous Black Cat face commission of Jon's on CAF for sale drawn on blue paper. Alas that piece had been sold by the time I inquired but my mind began to wonder who else would look good on that same color paper? Hmmmm...maybe a certain blue hued character from Watchmen. Relayed my idea to his rep Kirk D and Jon hit it out of the park!!! I love it when commissions surplas what you can envision! Big thanks to Jon and Kirk for making this one happen!

The likeness is almost spooky! Great intensity and the shading really gives his eyes a perfect glow. Congrats on your commission, Rich... and I'm sorry I beat ya to the punch with Jon's Black Cat but THIS is just amazing. :)

I so love this piece. I saw it on DeviantArt when Jonathan finished it and posted it there. I was blown away and immediately inquired about purchasing it. Of course it was already spoken for. I just bought two other pieces though. I can't wait to get them. He does an incredible job on these. Congrats to you!

Well. I was looking up his name because he'll be at Supercon tomorrow. DEFINITELY going to get something from him now! This piece is fantastic...though if he'll do a blue paper piece for me, I'm choosing Ronan!
