This somber illustration by Allen Williams reveals the haunting silhouette of Gotham’s Caped Crusader looming over the ornate family grave-marker of Thomas and Martha Wayne, the parents of Bruce Wayne. From their dreadful demise rose the Dark Knight himself, Batman. Rendered in monochromatic hues, The Birth of Batman captures all of the tragic glory of this iconic hero, reminding the viewer what devastation transformed Bruce Wayne into the World’s Greatest Detective. Thanks Eric! I have been waiting for this for over a year. Knew he was starting it, but he just kept getting busy. I posted something on Instagram on one of his paintings that he would be able to do a great Batman and then Sideshow hit him up shortly after.
