Description

Just got home from Seattle and discovered a wonderful birthday gift from my lovely wife! �Skeleton Crew� From Creepy #11, 1966 (second year of the series) that features the classic "KING KONG" cover by Frazetta. Final mind-blowing page from the story by Archie Goodwin. These pages are becoming scarce as collectors scoop them up and with good reason - you just can't beat Uncle Creepy as your ghoulish host! Or Captain Uncle Creepy, should I say?

Torres was friends with legendary artist Al Williamson in the early 1950s and occasionally assisted him on work for EC Comics with fellow artists Frank Frazetta and Roy Krenkel - known as the Fleagle Gang! Torres did some amazing work for Warren and MAD magazines back in the day! One of the TRUE living legends!

Happy anniversary to my gorgeous wife! Eleven years married and dated fourteen. Thanks again, Sweeti.
