My gallery has been frightfully light on Alan Davis artwork. That's really wrong on so many levels given how much I love his work. I hope this is just the first of many.

Addendum: As per the posting below, this illustration was done as part of a 2000 AD artist jam tribute to legendary letterer Tom Frame who passed away in 2006.

If this piece ever decides it wants to spread it's wings and fly, against the well wishes of its parent, I will be glad to give it a home. I should also probably get back to writing rebuttals to reviewer comments. Amazing piece Hiroshi!

Alan created this for the Tribute to the famed letterer Tom Frame I organised back in 2006 for publictaion in 2000ad. I managed to get most of the 2000ad old guard to creat a montage of characters. If you google 'Tom Frame artist 2000ad tribute' you will find it!

Hi, yes, it's Rufus! Tom Frame was an old friend, and when he died I wanted to organise something special...Alan Davis was most generous to contribute.
