DescriptionNo Terra Man on this first page of the issue but there is the cool mixture of a flying man and a stagecoach. Wasn't sure if when I bought this splash that I had read it. Once I looked up the cover I knew I had. It's so much easier to remember covers.Social/Sharing |

Beautiful Swan/Anderson Superman title splash! So many figures and details to illustrate and all look very nice. congrats and happy new year Lee!

Thanks Kavi. There is definitely a lot to look at here. I should try to figure out the cost per stroke of the pencil/ink.

I can't believe you got a splash from a Terra-Man issue, and that dude riding the horse wagon isn't him! Fun stuff though! Have a healthy, happy new year's eve, Lee!

I do wish it had Terra man on it, but to tell the truth, I didn't even know it was from that 1st appearance issue. I only found out from Marcus mentioning it in the comments to my unboxing video. I bought it because I liked the image.

The Adams covers are a sure bet more people read the story. It's the first appearance as well and always noted on the price guide as an issue people took an interest in. Swan/Anderson gave us the Silver Age Superman charm even as times were changing in the 70's.
