Description

I really enjoyed the first 5 issues of Mutant X back in the day. The story was unique and I liked the different versions of each of the main characters, particularly Angel. Raney's art had a lot to do with it so when I had the chance to get a commission at a small show in Dallas last month I quickly settled on The Fallen from Mutant X.

I opted to go watercolor vs. pen/ink because I think the colors really add to the overall character design. They do really pop here, particularly the red/blue constume against the turquoise background outlining the bat wings. Gotta love the organic quality of watercolor! Thanks, Tom!
