Just watched the newly posted teaser trailer for the fifth and final season of Stranger Things so felt it was an apt time to post this this commission I picked up from the most recent Heroes Con!

I�ve chatted with Chris (and his wife Chrissie) a couple times at cons and particularly dug his pieces with classic horror movie characters (he�s a fan of these guys!) done in his more fun, cartoony, animated style�a contradiction of subject and style in a way but IMO that�s part of the allure!

So I knew I wanted to have him do a horror character, but one he hadn�t done before, and Vecna ended up being it. Cool, too, as I�ve watched the show over the last few years with my wife and kiddos and Chris definitely brings a more kiddy spin to the show�s big bad here :) Fun design and the tonal work is next level�lotsa gradients of greys, browns, and some subtle purple. He said he had fun with it and I think it shows. Thanks, Chris!

So close to the final season/episodes airing, quite the journey since it first started! Congrats on the Vecna piece. One of the best/standout villains on "TV" in recent years. Uminga's style def leans a bit less horror/scary than the show does but it still works to capture the character with impressive tonal/color work as you pointed out.

Stranger Things season 5 is coming?!? Oh happy days! This cool depiction of Vecna is making me even more excited for his return in the coming season!

Well, too bad that teaser had absolutely NO excitement or suspense involved with it. Hahaha!! MAN I am so jazzed!!!!
