Description

Not new to my collection but reposting some older acquisitions. One of my favorite inkers on Kirby and by far my favorite inker on his Thor work is Chic Stone--his smooth, fluid line is a perfect and faithful match to the power of Kirby's dynamic pencils. My favorite element on this page is the over the shoulder hero shot of Thor in the third panel--so noble! I picked this page up many years ago from my friend Dominic Milano and remain grateful that he let me add it to my collection.

Interesting that you mention that third panel because before reading your notes I thought I'd never quite seen that expression on Thor's face before. Excellent page and agree with your comments about Stone!

That 3rd panel is cool, but it's all about panel 1 for me!

The inks by Stone are particularly nice,too.
