DescriptionI'm a life-long Spider-man fan.In the early aughts I was buying more comics than I care to admit. In 2002 the Peter Parker: Spider-man series was well into it's third year when this issue came out. Norman as Green Goblin has always been one of my top Spidey villains. Paul Jenkins' story absolutely floored me. What really blew me away was Humberto's art. I don't think I had seen anything quite like it at this time. Partnered with Faucher's gritty inks in those rain scenes had me re-reading and scrutinizing this book over and over again. SDCC 2005 had Humberto as a guest. I remember carting those four issues (#44-#47) around everywhere I could to find him. My poor friend John went along for the ride. I didn't know what he looked like and never did end up finding the man. Fast forward 21 years later and ComicLink started posting these pages. I was able to grab this beauty. I love how the scene's in the rain with the reveal of Peter's face along with Norman in full Goblin costume on the glider. MMMMMmmmm! Great stuff! Outside of owning an original Ditko or a page from Kraven's Last Hunt by Zeck; this is one of the new gems of my humble collection. Social/Sharing |

Spidey's been around long enough that everyone is sure to have their favorite runs. Ramos and Faucher brought that same energy over from Impulse which is also worth a read.

I've honestly never been a big fan of the Flash/related characters. However, given your recommendation I'll give it a shot! Thank you. :)

Sincere congrats, my friend! Right there with you. This is the book I found Ramos on and to this day, some of his best stuff. Great storytelling, look at that rain effect. And this Goblin design was such a cool and unique departure. Congrats!
