Description

Have you ever heard of the Abel Brigade? Well, I hadn't either before I bought this page. Purchased as a Hulk annual page by Romita Sr, I couldn't remember the story so immediately went about the task of doing some research. After some digging, I was able to determine it never actually made it to production. The page is by Larry Lieber and a healthy dose of John Romita Sr. I had a lot of fun doing the research and wrote up a story about the issue which fills in the holes and provides the reason why the "Abel Brigade" came about. There is some great looking art here. Nice Hulk action, too, with the tossing and leaping.

Close but no seegar! Heh, I have got to check out a story that has the hulk throwing stuff at Banner. A Lieber/Romita Hulk page? Wow, that is very cool. I hadn't heard about the Abel Brigade before, either, but I'm about to learn. :) Thanks for sharing the cool find and story! Big congrats!

Wow Dave, this is a treasure! Love the sharing spree and getting to finally see all your goodies. I know absolutely nothing about the Abel Brigade and will definitley give your write-up a read.

Such an awesome page of JRSR inks -- really great -- Congrats!! I have a page from this as well with Simonson inks - I'll post it one day.
