DescriptionPretty excited to be posting this! I’ve been eyeing this Pichelli cover for a bit, and was recently able to work out a deal for it and another with Paolo at Cadence Comic Art. Fortunate, knowing that Sara does most of her comic work digitally.Sara is a true AR-TEEST! She’s just a great illustrator, particularly of female characters. Their faces are elegant and at the same time, strong – lovely faces on both characters here but no doubt from the expressions that they’re in a fight. I really like Gamora and young Jean’s new uniforms and I’ve got great images of both here. Also, a neat display of Jean’s powers…and look at that BIG sword/axe weapon Gamora’s about to swing into someone. Very cool. I’ve also included images of the colored & published versions, which I thought also turned out nice. The different colors of the characters against the pinkish background really pop. Your excitement about owning this piece is a pleasure to be a part of. I agree, Sara Pichelli is a real talent and I love her female characters as well. Congrats on this fantastic cover!

Thanks, M, it's still a favorite of mine! Sara's SO good. Love the faces on her characters - so emotive. She mixes nicely the traditional cartoony comic look with a realist bent. I know it's a little tougher to get something published from her as she does most of her stuff digitally, but there is some stuff out there. I'm sure you'll find yours - good luck!
