Description

2nd of 2 Black Panther (BP) posts today, this one from the Ultimates. If you haven�t read the 12 issue Ultimates series by Ewing�get to it! It�s a great sci-fi and character driven story and IMO one of the best releases from the �All New, All-Different Marvel� branding. Ewing seems to really get the characters as does Rocafort in his renderings�case in point here with BP!

Here BP and the Blue Marvel are discussing what to do with the unstable Anti-Man and BP brings up an old school Wakandan option � execution. Blue Marvel doesn�t like it and BP goes into his no nonsense rationale as only he can on why that route should be considered. Loved the dialogue here (see additional published image) and Rocafort�s BP has become one of my favorites so I contacted Mike at More Great Art and was able to bring this baby home.

Kenneth�s pencil lines are so meticulous and I love how his BP has a feline look in the mask. Also like how in panel 1 he�s in a scholarly pose � I of course love action poses but it�s also cool seeing BP this way too. Let�s not forget he is one of the smartest cats (pun intended!) in the MU. The featured image is that last panel with an awesome, stern, face-forward head shot flanked by panthers and Wakandan design and buildings in the background. Really drives home that �NOT GIVEN TO IDLE THREATS� line in the lower right description!

Fantastic description for this fantastic work of art. "Meticulous" is the perfect word to describe the detail featured here by Rocafort. I love the various panther visages surrounding BP in that bottom panel. It contributes so well to probably my favorite part of the page which is the overall balance accomplished here.

Love your choice of artist in Kenneth Rocafort! Just would not want to mess with BP in this page!! So sorry not seeing enough of Kenneth Rocafort nowadays! Great piece!!
