Description“Dillon! You son of a …”Any ‘80s action movie viewer knows what I’m talking about here, but just in case, here’s a link to the “Epic Handshake” scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v= uYMboTIXym4 Ha! I just had to pick up Ryan’s homage with Pete as Schwarzenegger/Dutch and Flash as Weathers/Dillon! As many of you know I’m a big fan of Stegman, and being a kid of the ‘80s, this was too fun to pass up. Pete and Flash have definitely been putting in time in the weight room :) An overall nice illustration and inks by Leisten are crisp and precise – since I’m so familiar with Ryan’s work it’s always interesting for me to see different inkers’ takes on his stuff, and when sitting pieces by different inkers next to each other, how different they really can be. Also got a few nice shots of Flash as Agent Anti-Venom (RIP) which is cool as I didn’t have any art with that iteration of the character in it. Alright, I feel I’ve got to end the description with another quote from the film: I’ll be posting more Spidey art soon, so “stick around” ;) Social/Sharing |

That's hilarious. Even back in the 80's when I was watching these movies and the "let's show off both your biceps" closeup happened, I just rolled my eyes and thought "Oh gawd, how cheesy!"

Ha, I hear you, Ruben! Just gratuitous '80s action excess...cheesy fun, and ripe for the time! I always enjoyed it - so many Arnie moments/one-liners from that film! So, had to get Stegman's take! Thanks for the comments, all!

Very cool page. Stood out to me from this issue. I really like what they have done with Flash although I wish they would have settled on one identity and not “killed” him off. He was great as Agent Venom. Stagnant does fantastic work. Bravo.

Ha ha, yes! Y'know, my fave might not even be from Arnie. In a firefight Poncho tells Blain (Jesse Ventura) '"you're bleeding, man!" Blain replies "I ain't got time to bleed." :) Equal parts awesome and cheesy. Thanks, Jimmy!
