DescriptionA great & splashy ED McGuinness Superman page.I loved that period for Superman titles with fun adventures and great art. Ed’s art was super bombastic and something that Superman had not really experienced up to that point. It was really a fresh take on the character. Doomsday throwing Sup through a wall, what’s not to love? The fact that the bursting wall (or door) is drawn at the edge of the panel widens it to a great splashy effect. The last thin vertical panel with Luthor is also cool with his finger pushing the button so close and parallel to the panel’s border. This particular page was on ebay for a long time for a price I thought too high. Then it popped in C-link and I snatched it for less money. Social/Sharing |

For many Ed’s arrival came on his Superman run...pages like this are why! Bombastic energy paired with solid storytelling! Congrats!
