Description

Just check out the lightning�or the lighting�nay, both! Taurin just kills it when it comes to this stuff�light, sheen, shine, all that. And what better subject to showcase said skills than with a rendition of Stormbreaker wielder, Beta Ray Bill. Quick aside � maybe the best name in comics :) Taurin does almost all his work digitally, including the covers for the most recent Black Panther volume, so I�m definitely glad to pick up a rare traditional piece. Thanks, Jason!

Dynamic shot with ground hammer pound, and all that energy exhibited as a result. You�ve got the light coming from the actual lightning bolt, but also all the shimmery sheen on his costume, including the helmet, shoulders, and legs. And using the grey paper makes it all pop that much more. Pair that with the tonal rendering (see his left arm) and this one�s just a straight beaut, and more so in person.

Bill�definitely one of those guys I�m looking forward to seeing done right on film at some point � fingers crossed it�s sooner rather than later!

Always love Taurin's covers, but I thought all his work was digital! Now the quest begins for a traditional piece - and I'd be lucky to get one half as good as this one. Mega congrats!

Okay, given that I studied the lightning alone for a few minutes before scrolling down to see that this is also what YOU love most about the piece, I'm just gonna keep my comments to that. This is a great looking piece overall, no doubt, but it is especially about the light, or the white! Ride the Lightning!
