My first Gene Gonzales and I couldn't be more thrilled!!

I guess I was a very good girl... thank you, Santa Jones!! :D

My friendly postal worker left a mysterious package at my door- I wasn't expecting anything BUT I just couldn't wait until the 25th to open it. What fun would that be? ;)

Plus I've been quite sick for 2 weeks so I needed some cheering up. I opened the package carefully and couldn't believe what I was holding!! Originally, I fell in love with this when a friend loaded it into his gallery but never thought it would land in my hands! I'm a relative new fan of Gene's work and even though he's done so many marvelous pieces- this one was my very favourite of his new ones.
There is just something so dangerously quirky about her that I could relate to so well. (So, beware! lol)

In person, she's even more beautiful. Gene is an outstanding artist. Brian, thank you for the complete surprise. She looks marvelous in her new home!!! :D

***If you're wondering about the title/piece, Brian gave me permission to re-post Gene's origin story for this particular femme fatale. Gotta say, Gene's imagination is incomparable! Read on:

"She was just an ex-model. An ex high-fashion designer, recovering from years of the fast lane who finally snapped when she saw Princess Beatrice's hat at the royal wedding. That hat called to her to make a change in her perception of high fashion. Now Maddie Hattigan strikes terror in the jet set as she dishes out her own brand of fashion justice. She's an artist, determined to either correct the fashion faux pas, or put the wearer out of his or her misery."

Truthfully, I was in total shock to receive this. I'm so stoked that my first Gene piece is this one! So beautiful in person, the details are killer!! It's pretty safe to say that we have a mutual friend with a great heart. :)
