DescriptionLoving Andrews’ McFarlane inspired style, and I’m overjoyed to add this example by him of my three favorite Spider-People! I consider this my de facto Spider-Verse piece. From Marvel.COM: “When Gwen Stacy and the Mary Janes go on tour, they'll run into some massive musical stars along the way! In SPIDER-GWEN: SMASH (2023) #1 by Melissa Flores and Enid Balám, the Mary Janes embark on a four-city tour as the opening act for a popular rock group. Recognizing that this is a major break for their band, Gwen has promised not to engage in any web-slinging shenanigans—but she may not be able to keep it for long. After all, an assassin has set their sights on the headliner, which means she may have to trade her drumsticks for her web-shooters sooner than she anticipated. A special first look at SPIDER-GWEN: SMASH (2023) #1 sends Gwen into action when she spots someone suspicious in the crowd at a gig (much to Mary Jane's dismay). On one page, she hitches a train ride through the city, while in another, she and the Mary Janes run right into Dazzler, Lila Cheney, and Rick Jones. Then, Dazzler lets loose on stage with her band, only for a hulking green beast to attack her. Fortunately, Spider-Gwen is there to assist! Can Gwen keep her promise to the Mary Janes and help keep Dazzler safe? Find out in SPIDER-GWEN: SMASH #1, on sale December 14!” Social/Sharing |

Congrats bud. But I think the GCD might have gypped you. They list six variants for this issue, but yours is not one of them. Someone call the cops.

Actually, they only list 3 variants for this issue. The other covers they have listed are issues 2-4... they're missing half a dozen variants for issue #1!!!

Nope! If you click on the 1st issue listing details, they list SIX. But it looks like two of them are just different versions of the same image. The foil variant and the virgin variant (whatever the heck those are).

I see you're correct. Oddly enough on the series page they only have six covers total, 3 variants for #1, and the 2-4, that's where I was looking. https://www.comics.org/series/206340/covers/ regardless, it's a published variant, no matter GCD's information.

Totally agree with your Andrews comment. Loving the 90’s vibe, and the size was definitely a factor!

I was so excited about it I posted prior to receiving it. I just received it yesterday, and had to come back and update the size from 22inches to 24inches. It is exquisite, and anyone who tells you size doesn't matter simple hasn't seen a larger piece. I love this piece! Frame is on order!
