DescriptionThe Legion of Super-Heroes occasionally have open tryouts for memberships. Some applicants succeed and become proper Legionnaires. But many, many more fail and join the ranks of the Legion Rejects. These characters are often rejected on the basis of their powers not being useful for the team, or lack of control of their powers, or any other number of significant reasons. For this commission I asked Joel Carroll to draw some of my favorite Rejects. Arm-Fall-Off Boy is the most famous Legion Reject, and he has the rather ridiculous power to make his arm fall off. But Arm-Fall-Off Boy is also the star of one of the best Legion comics ever - Legion of Super-Heroes in the 31st Century #16. Seriously, go check out that comic. Also here we have Voice, who could compel people to do what she said, but only if they were slow-witted or under major stress. And then there's Plaid Lad, who could make any fabric plaid. Energy Boy had a potentially useful power controlling nuclear energies, but he lacked control. X-Bomb Betty could create a gigantic explosion, but could only do it once because she would have to blow herself up to do it. And finally there's Polecat, who had the unfortunate ability to create a horrendous stench from his horns.

Wow !!! You really are leaving no one out of this series. Plaid Boy & X- Bomb Betty ...... very cool. Energy Boy I have already put in place for Infinite Timelines but the others will be a challenge.
