DescriptionThis is my final Ramos Amazing Spider-Man cover post from the six part "Hunted" story line. This is the storyline that once again pitted Kraven the Hunter (and his last remaining clone) against Spider-Man. It also involved all the animal-themed villains that Spider-Man has faced over the years --- and there are TONS!I was fortunate enough to pick up the five consecutive Ramos ASM Hunted covers for Parts 2-6 (ASM vol 5 #18-22), and all FIVE are now posted on my CAF. Yaayyy!! This is probably my favorite one of the bunch, because the whole essence of Spider-Man is that he is always facing impossible situations, where he is hopelessly outnumbered or outmatched, but he always emerges victorious due to his tenacity and total refusal to give up. Here he faces a horde of Vermin clones --- where one Vermin is more than enough to cause the Web-Head distress. Thanks for looking! Social/Sharing |

Definitely one of my favorite Ramos ASM covers also! My favorite part of this one is the Vermin peeking out from behind the pileup! Humberto is really a modern master! Congrats man!

Apparently, you are a practioner of the "one can never have enough Ramos Spider-man covers" collecting philosophy.

Considering how much Vermin terrifies Spidey, this is definitely the web-slinger's version of a living nightmare! A wonderfully hellish cover!

Love this one, Paul. Great composition to start - you can feel Spidey's desperation. Will he survive?! And the inking rocks. So deliberate, from the thicker lines bordering the character figures to those hatch-y details accentuating texture and shading. I think Humberto really has leveled up in terms of the latter especially. Congrats!

Ooh, I love the tight, scratchy crosshatching and the shadow work is really nice too. The creep factor is at Def Con 10!

Congrats on this Paul, this cover has so much texture, which isn't Ramos' norm - making this even better.

A horrifying scene for Spidey, but an awesome piece of art for the rest of us to view. Thanks for sharing!

Drowning in a sea of vermin. It sounds like an off-kilter country song. I so dig Ramos' newer style. Cartoony but super detailed is just an awesome look. He draws Spidey cartoony, but then puts those wonderful wrinkles and folds in his costume. Just a great style. And what an awesome cover! You've got a lot of Ramos goodness, Paul. Congrats!

This looks like Spider-Man trying to place that floor bid in the platinum session and the Vermin are tryng to stop his final cut bid.
