Description

Of this drawing Ed Binkley says, "I grew up with an abundance of fireflies in my summers, and I'm sad at their slow decline. As a small child I used to catch them and imagine that their lights were attempts to speak to me; and since I could not answer in their language then they would fly away again. I've always been fascinated with small, intimate lights and light sources -- campfires, candles, flashlights, fireflies -- and I love imagining and depicted the illusion of points of light on objects close by."

The illumination effect is so good in this and the whole motif within the theme is very lovingly done.

One of my favorite pieces from the recent IlluXCon; glad I got to see it in person ... very, very intricate.
