DescriptionThis is my favorite piece of artwork. If someone forced me to name my favorite artist (a difficult question as there are so many great artists), that artist would be Bill Sienkiewicz. When I grew up reading comics, I thought his work on Moon Knight, New Mutants, Elektra Assassin, and Daredevil Love and War was profound. To me, he was doing things I never saw before in comics.I always wanted something from him, but in the 1980's when I saw him at San Diego Comic Con, he was holding on to much of his stuff. Jumping to the present, I found this painting while surfing on the internet and picked it up. It is my favorite piece of art that Bill ever did. Social/Sharing |

I was just looking around the internet seeing where this piece was and if I could buy it. Clearly that is not going to happen. Congrats. It may be my favorite Elektra piece ever... I am jealous as hell...

one of the most seminal pieces of Elektra ever created. this shot really blends Bill's realism and his surrealism perfectly! probably one of my favorite originals ever. thanks for sharing this incredible cover.

easily my favorite piece of comic art ever as well. i had this poster on my wall since i was 16. this image is forever engrained in my psyche. interesting how the light reflects of the black paint, is there any indication that there was more art on this piece and bill painted over it for the final piece?

Always wanted a nice Sienkiewicz Elektra piece myself but most of the published pages sold never seem to have a good image of her. Yours is everything an Elektra/Sienkiewicz fan would want and then some. Wow. What an amazing piece!

Absolutely right - Bill's such a master, and brought such a brilliant vision to everything he did from Moon Knight onwards. Such an amazing example of his painted work to have - real shades of Bob Peak with a lovely dash of Gustav Klimt here. This is just beautiful!

Wow... a Bill Sienkiewicz masterpiece, from a little window in time when it seemed like anything unexpected and exciting could happen in comics.
