DescriptionThis is the cover to the "Street Smart" trade paperback that collected the Lobdell/Charest stories for Wildcats, volume two. The cover features all the key characters from the storyline. While this is Charest's third Wildcats TPB cover (Homecoming and Gang War being the first two) with characters standing around, this cover is painted, instead of just being pencilled and inked as the first two covers were. The years listed under Travis's signature memorialize the years he worked on the Wildstorm title. This was the last Wildcats cover Travis did for Wildstorm. The dimensions of the piece are 15 inches x 20 inches. Social/Sharing |

Hey Constant, I wasn't totally thrilled with this piece when I first saw it, but after seeing it again years later, the design is great! Misleadingly simple but subtly complex and nuanced. And of course, the craft behind the piece is evident in Travis's execution. Nice one... :)

Gnarly faces, scary monsters, shiny metal guy, beautiful gals (especially that one on top), and a color palette that few could pull off. Everything Travis does so well all in one piece. Just wonderful!

I remember when Travis turned this in. He'd moved I think at that point from San Diego over to France....and when it arrived it was interesting to note the date (year) was off. Trying to remember because I think the date on this says 1994-2000 and the cover came in in early 1999. No big deal but I did think it was kind of funny it was mislabeled. Great piece!

I have no interest in the actual comics but this is a real beauty.
